People have often told me that they find learning a new language to be a very rewarding experience. They also think that by learning a new language, they are setting themselves up for success in the future. While I couldn’t agree more with what they say, I also do believe that people who learn foreign languages are much savier than people who don’t learn them.
There is a problem right now in the US. The problem is that most people don’t really want to learn a foreign lanugage. They either don’t want to – or don’t have time or means necessary to do it. This is in contrast to Europe, where the majority of people are multilingual. I find these facts fascinating, because I have always been very interested in learning foreign languages – and knowing that it’s possible to learn them only makes this so much more exciting. Thanks for reading!

Craft activities for children are a great alternative to other forms of entertainment such as watching television and playing games on the computer. If children are left to their own resources, they will never try and find educative activities to indulge in. Their first preference will be video games and computer games, but if they do not have access to these games, then their next option will be TV. While I am not saying that computer games and television are all bad, I am saying that constant exposure to such media can harm kids in many ways that parents cannot even begin to imagine. Thus, trying to keep them occupied with story books for kids or craft activities for children is a super alternative.
Sadly, this is one more example of something that is easier said than done. Yes, it will be difficult to pry kids away from electronic media, but we have to keep trying till we succeed. Simply telling children to stop watching TV or stop playing games is not going to cut it. Till you provide them with something else to occupy their time, such as good story books for kids, they will be very reluctant to get off the couch or computer table. And most parents do not have the time to come up with unusual means of enjoyment that can be substituted in place of TV, thus leaving kids to their fun and games.
These kinds of issues give parents all the more reason to turn to craft activities for kids. These types of activities engage children and keep them busy for hours on end. Many different skills are required to complete craft projects such as drawing, coloring, being able to use a pair of scissors and cut properly, using glue in the right manner, as well as utilizing geometric tools such as rulers and compasses to ensure symmetry. Thus, by providing your kids with various craft activities, you can ensure that all their skills are getting a chance to develop in the right manner. Not just their creative skills, but their fine motor skills can be enhanced too.
Interactive reading books are another good option to get your children to stow away their computer games. No, the games won’t be stashed away forever, but at least your kids will be occasionally inclined to do something other than fight with online monsters and creatures. It is easy for children to get bored with the same story books for kids that are available to them everywhere. Thus, by switching such books for kids and providing them with interactive reading books, you can help your children to develop a renewed interest in kid’s books and in the activity of reading.
The machismo way of thinking is still a pervasive phenomenon that affects Chilean society. Essentially, machismo is a sexist attitude where men would often treat women as lower-ranking members of society. One piece of evidence that students who learn Spanish in Chile will discover is a uniquely Chilean phenomenon called “cafe con piernas”. What exactly is “cafe con piernas”? A literal translation would be “coffee with legs”. Depending on a student visiting such an establishment it could either be one of the greatest offenses to Chilean women or a big jar of eye candy. Nothing seedy actually goes on in most of these coffee shops; they operate usually from 9 a.m. To 9 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, no nights, no weekends, and dress codes vary. Some establishments have women just wear high heels and a uniform with a mini-skirt while some may have women who barely have anything on. The combinend policies of no cover, no alcohol, no doorman and cheap coffee being served by beautiful women, “cafe con piernas” has become a very profitable business in Chile. As to whether or not students learning Spanish in Chile should have “cafe con piernas” is really dependent on one’s mindset and beliefs.

Planning and a proper curriculum is a very large part of teaching, especially in younger grades, like Kindergarten through 7th grade. Without a class curriculum, you will no doubt forget to include certain things in your lessons, and may even forget very important points all together. Regardless of how good you are at teaching, there are people out there that are more knowledgeable on the subject than yourself. A digital curriculum resource would be a site that you can download digital text books, and digital teacher work sheets. It makes delivering lessons to your students very quick and easy, compared to the old days of running off copies of copies of worksheets, and giving children faded homework assignments. The new state of the art technology has made it possible to get updated lessons on a regular basis from the comfort of your home or office, and integrating them seamlessly into your lessons.

I’m 23 years old, and I want to learn Business English. Since I was a little boy, I really loved English. In fact, I studied English for 3 years when I was 12 years old. However, I couldn’t continue studying it because I had to come back to my native country. Some days ago, a hiring company called me to give me a job, but they were looking for a person who knew business English since this job was for advertising some products. I told them that I could do the job, but the true is that I have little vocabulary about it. Searching on the net, I found your website, and I could see that you have a really good English training. That’s why I’m writing for you to provide me with some information about your online business training. I would like to know how much the complete training is. I hope you can help me out.

A person who refuses to use any tools that will help them when writing is foolish. The reason for this is that when people decide they are going to write and not use tools, they find later that they have made many mistakes. Running a quick spell check is so easy to do that you don’t have to do anything but click on it. This helps make sure all words are spelled correctly and that there are no word mistakes. Another great item to use is a grammar check tool that ensures your sentences not only flow correctly, but have words in all the correct places. Finally, a great thing to use with both of these tools is a thesaurus. This handy item will not only teach you how to use other words, it may actually help you to learn how to speak better in public, and write better essays.

In a recent poll, 52% of small businesses stated that having a presence on social media networks is important. The same poll indicates that only 16% use social media to engage with customers. 49% of those businesses that do use social media claim that their presence has created advocates for their companies. 59% say that using social media has created value. It is clear that social media has caught the attention of business, but that business is unsure of how to tap that potential.
The following are some of the ground rules for building customer relationships through the various social media channels.
1) Listen before you speak. Before jumping in, sift through the media noise and search out those people that you want to contact. Listen to what is really being said before joining the conversation.
2) Social media is a conversation. Imagine a giant cock tail party with millions of guests having thousands of different conversations. Move around until you find the conversations that you want to participate in. If you try to dominate and bully people they will just turn away.
3) Have an objective. Social media can be very time consuming. Figure out what your goals are and stick to them.
4) Participate actively. The conversation will happen whether you contribute or not, so you may as well give your two cents worth. Just remember that what you say represents your company.
5) Be informative. Don’t just make a blunt sales pitch, you will be ignored or shunned. Add value to the conversations that you join.
6) Target your audience. Determine who your target audience is and how they go about fulfilling their needs. They might have a particular style that they respond to, and that you need to adopt if you want to have positive conversations.
7) Practice. Test out different ways to engage with your target audience. Social media is not a one-size-fits-all situation.

If you are an adventurer who likes to explore things at your own terms, then consider joining a study abroad program. Explore, explore, explore! Make your own arrangements. Take buses and trains in a foreign land when going to classes. Get off the beaten path. Find villages that are not on any tourist map. Talk to the local people in their own language- however bad your pronunciation. A study abroad experience can be a welcome relief from the rest of your studies, or it can be the most formative experience of a lifetime. It can be just one more item on the resume, or it can provide the most colorful examples in your interview. If you take a few calculated risks, plan in advance, and take advantage of all that a study abroad program has to offer, you will become that “memorable candidate”-the one who truly gets the employer’s attention. In the process, you will have developed skills and attitudes that will stay with you for a lifetime.
